United States Donates $10 Million for Refugee Relief in Mali Jul 12th 2012, 20:43 The White House announced Thursday it is releasing up to $10 million to go toward emergency relief for displaced refugees in, and migrants from, Mali. According to Remi Dourlot, a spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the money is needed to help relieve some of the suffering of more than 230,000 people who have fled violence in Mali, as well as the more than 155,000 internally displaced (IDP) who fled fighting in the north, but who remain in the ...
