Turkey's Criticism of OIC Over Egypt Seen as Split with Arab Allies
Aug 21st 2013, 23:44, by webdesk@voanews.com (Dorian Jones)

Turkey's call for the resignation of the head of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, or OIC, for not speaking out against the bloodshed in Egypt is being seen by analysts as another sign of Ankara's growing isolation from other Islamic countries.  Turkey's stance toward Egypt is in stark contrast to the position of some of its allies in the Middle East.     Turkey's deputy prime minister, Bekir Bozdag, Monday accused the OIC and its Turkish secretary ...

Breast Milk Provides Babies with Good Gut Bacteria
Aug 21st 2013, 23:51, by webdesk@voanews.com (VOA News)

Researchers say so-called "good bacteria" flow from the mother's gut to her newborn through breast milk, helping to establish good digestive health and the foundation of early immunity.  They say it is yet another reason "breast is best." Treated Bed Nets Critical to Eradicating Debilitating Tropical Disease
Aug 21st 2013, 22:38, by webdesk@voanews.com (Steve Herman)

Inexpensive bed nets treated with insecticide may hold the key to eradicating a debilitating disease that threatens one-fifth of the world's population - mainly those living in Southeast Asia and Africa. Scientists say they have been able to demonstrate that the most common cause of the tropical disease elephantiasis can be virtually eradicated - even in lieu of medication - if those at risk sleep under nets treated with chemicals that kill mosquitoes. Lisa Reimer, a lecturer at the ...
