DALLAS — Officials in Dallas, Texas and the surrounding county of the same name are continuing to spray by land and air in an effort to suppress mosquitoes that spread the West Nile virus. Health officials have reported more than 200 cases of fever caused by the virus in the Texas city, several times more than have been reported anywhere else in the country.  The illness has also caused 10 deaths. Afghan officials say a bomb blast in a crowded marketplace in the western province of Herat has killed four people. A strong earthquake has struck the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. The U.S. Geological Survey says the 6.6 magnitude quake struck late Saturday afternoon (5:40 p.m. local time - 0940 UTC) 56 kilometers from the town of Palu at a relatively shallow depth of 20 kilometers. There are no immediate reports of damage or casualties.  The French news agency reports panicked residents in Palu ran from their homes as the ground shook.
