At least 36 people have been killed when a bus plunged more than 15 meters off a major highway in southern Italy and landed in a ravine. Rescue workers at the scene Sunday said 11 people have been pulled alive from the wreckage and taken to a hospital, some with serious injuries. The bus was carrying around 50 people back to Naples from a pilgrimage in the southern region of Campania. The reason for the crash was not immediately clear.

A highly decorated American pilot from the Korean War prepared to leave Pyongyang after failing to locate the remains of his fallen comrade. Thomas Hudner returned to North Korea last week to try to find the remains of his wingman Jesse Brown, who crashlanded over a battlefield in December 1950. Brown was the U.S. Navy's first black aviator. At the time, Hudner tried to land and save him, but failed. Hudner was awarded a Medal of Honor for his effort. Hudner was part of a private ...
