Russia's defense minister said talks on the U.S. plan for a NATO missile defense system in Europe are deadlocked.
Anatoly Serdyukov said Thursday that Russia, NATO and the U.S. have not been successful in finding a "mutually acceptable solution."
He spoke at the start of talks in Moscow with Russian and U.S. officials on the missile defense plan.
Moscow has rejected the U.S. position that the plan is to protect against potential threats from Iran.
