UN Rapporteur: Iran Violating Human Rights Oct 23rd 2013, 23:10, by webdesk@voanews.com (Margaret Besheer) The U.N. Special Rapporteur for assessing the human rights situation in Iran has warned of "the systemic and systematic violations" of a wide range of rights in that country. Ahmed Shaheed told the U.N. General Assembly committee that deals with such issues he hopes the new Iranian president will implement promised reforms to improve the situation.  Ahmed Shaheed said he interviewed 137 people during the past year for his report, corroborating information which details human rights ...
