Iraqi Kurdish Leader Vows to Defend Syrian Kurds Aug 10th 2013, 23:18, by webdesk@voanews.com (VOA News) The president of Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region has threatened to intervene to defend the Kurdish population caught up in Syria's unrest.   In a statement posted online Saturday, Massoud Barzani said if Kurds in Syria are under threat, then Iraqi Kurdistan will "make use of all its capabilities" to defend them.   Barzani offered no specifics as to how he planned to protect Syrian Kurds.   Kurds make up about 10 percent of Syria's population and ...
