Two Earthquakes Hit Northwest China, 3 Dead Jul 22nd 2013, 03:05 Seismologists say two shallow earthquakes have hit northwest China, resulting in the deaths of at least three people. The U.S. Geological Survey said the first quake, with a magnitude of 5.9, hit near the city of Dingxi in Gansu province. It struck at a depth of 20 kilometers.
