Jury selection has begun in the murder trial of Major Nidal Hasan, the army psychiatrist accused of opening fire at Fort Hood, Texas in November 2009, leaving 13 people dead.  Many commentators and families of victims have complained about legal wrangling that delayed the trial for three-and-a-half years, but now that the trial is under way, it could go swiftly.
