French Troops Take Airport at Kidal, Last Mali Rebel Stronghold Jan 30th 2013, 16:07 French forces have taken the airport at Kidal, the last major stronghold of Islamist militants who seized control of northern Mali last year. The French military said Wednesday that troops seized the airport overnight.
