The new chair of the African Union (AU) is expected to stress economic growth and development, as well as women's rights. In Sunday's election, South African Minister of Home Affairs Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma defeated incumbent Jean Ping at the AU meeting in Addis Ababa. She is the first woman to hold the post.
