14 Killed in Uganda Ebola Outbreak Jul 28th 2012, 21:43 Health officials say the deadly Ebola virus has killed 14 people in western Uganda. Joaquim Saweka, the World Health Organization representative in Uganda said Saturday there were 20 reported cases in Kibaale district, nearly 200 kilometers west of the capital, Kampala. There is no cure or vaccine for Ebola, which manifests itself as a hemorrhagic fever, is highly infectious and kills quickly. In 2000, Ebola killed more than 200 Ugandans.
