Authorities in northwest Pakistan are looking for more than 300 inmates who escaped from a prison after hundreds of Taliban militants raided the facility on Sunday.
Four senior officials at the prison in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province were suspended Monday after about 150 insurgents, armed with guns and rocket-propelled grenades, stormed the prison, freeing more than 380 prisoners.
Authorities said about 60 prisoners are now back in custody. It is unclear if they include some 20 freed inmates that were described as "dangerous."
Among the escapees was Adnan Rasheed, who was on death row for his involvement in an assassination attempt on former President Pervez Musharraf.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the assault.
The prison in the town of Bannu houses nearly 1,000 inmates.
Bannu borders Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal agency - a known hub of Taliban and al-Qaida extremists.
