Pakistan says it has successfully test-fired a nuclear capable missile with a range of 1,300 kilometers. The military said the medium-range ballistic missile "Hatf V (Ghauri)" was launched Wednesday at an undisclosed location. It said the "test consolidates and strengthens Pakistan's deterrence capability and national security." The U.S. Treasury Department said Tuesday that China's currency is "significantly undervalued," but stopped short of labeling it a currency manipulator. The Treasury said in a semi-annual report to Congress that China did not meet the legal requirements to be named a currency manipulator, a designation that could lead to sanctions.
