Army: New Boko Haram Raid in Northern Nigeria Leaves 55 Dead May 7th 2013, 23:06 The Nigerian military says some 200 Islamist militants raided a remote northeastern town Tuesday, leaving 55 people dead, including police, prison officials and civilians. Army spokesman Sagir Musa blamed the pre-dawn attack on al-Qaida-linked Boko Haram militants, and said the strike targeted the town of Bama, a remote settlement near the borders of Cameroon and Chad.
