China Mine Blast Kills 28 Mar 30th 2013, 01:38 Chinese officials say a gas explosion at a coal mine has killed at least 28 people. Officials are investigating the cause of the blast at a state-owned mine outside the city of Baishan in northeastern Jilin province. The official Xinhua News Agency said 13 people were rescued from the mine. China's mines are among the deadliest in the world.
