Pioneering American jazz composer and pianist Dave Brubeck has died at age 91. Brubeck's manager says the musician died of heart failure Wednesday morning while on his way to see a cardiologist. He would have turned 92 on Thursday. Brubeck stood as a jazz legend for more than a half-century. He formed The Dave Brubeck Quartet after World War II and rose to fame in the 1950s.
