US Troops in Afghanistan Celebrate Thanksgiving Nov 22nd 2012, 15:10 U.S. troops in Aghanistan are observing Thanksgiving with all the makings of home. Soldiers in Kabul, the Afghan capital, received a special Thanksgiving Day dinner of roast turkey, featuring traditional side dishes. They also had to time to start their own Thanksgiving day tradition on a makeshift rugby  field.
