Failed Syria Cease-Fire Disappoints UN Oct 29th 2012, 11:00 U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has expressed deep disappointment at the failure of an effort to establish a cease-fire in Syria during the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday. During a speech Monday in South Korea, Ban called on the international community to do more to help stop the fighting. He said that as long as there are international divisions, the suffering of the Syrian people will only grow.
