Ex-Chinese Police Chief Pleads No Contest as Trial Ends Sep 18th 2012, 10:04 A former Chinese police chief at the center of a major Communist Party scandal did not contest charges against him Tuesday as his trial ended in the central city of Chengdu. Wang Lijun is accused of defection and abuse of power related to a February incident where he fled to a U.S. consulate with details on the killing of a British businessman.
