Strong Earthquake Strikes El Salvador's Coast Aug 27th 2012, 10:08 A strong 7.3-magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of El Salvador, triggering a small tsunami and initial warnings for the region that have been canceled. The U.S. Geological Survey reports the epicenter of Monday's earthquake was located about 120 kilometers south of Usulutan.  A magnitude 5.4 aftershock hit the same area about an hour later.
