Malian Government Focuses on Regaining Control of North Aug 21st 2012, 12:55 A Malian official says the country's new national unity government will focus on re-taking control of the north from radical Islamist groups. Hamadoune Toure, Mali's minister for communication and government spokesman, tells VOA English-to-Africa that hardliners seeking to impose Sharia law in the north are not welcome in the new government.  He says the government will move forward with plans to seek outside help in liberating the region, which is controlled by Islamist groups ...
