EU: Zimbabwe Sanctions Stay Until Elections Jul 23rd 2012, 19:48 HARARE - The European Union says it will suspend targeted sanctions on Zimbabwe's leadership if the African nation holds credible elections. Along with other Western countries, the 27-member confederation imposed sanctions on President Robert Mugabe and his ZANU-PF party leadership in 2002, following reports of human-rights abuses.
