Hong Kong Tiananmen Vigil Attracts Tens of Thousands Jun 4th 2012, 21:51 HONG KONG - A candlelit vigil was held in Hong Kong Monday night to commemorate the victims of the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing.  The number of participants at the annual event appeared larger than in recent years, as more mainland Chinese traveled to the semi-autonomous city to attend. Although officials dispute the numbers, organizers say 180,000 people gathered in Hong Kong to honor the student democracy activists who were killed in Tiananmen Square 23 years ...
