Nigerian President Replaces Top State Oil Firm Officials Jun 27th 2012, 05:44 Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan Tuesday dismissed the managing director and numerous other top officials of the state-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).   A statement from the president's office said the action was in "furtherance of efforts to achieve greater transparency and accountability in government."  The company had been accused of rampant corruption.  A parliamentary report released in April concluded the NNPC lost $6.8 billion ...
